Quality control
Checked against your approved specification
Quality control here means checking your products against the requirements we agreed in writing. Here is what is checked, when, and what happens if something fails.
Definitions
What quality control is, and is not
Quality control means checking against agreed requirements. It does not automatically mean independent laboratory testing, a certification, or zero defects. A dimensional tolerance is the permitted variation around a target measurement, and it is agreed between you and the factory.
Inspection stages
When checks happen
| Stage | What is checked | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Materials arrival | Material type, colour and condition against the specification | PENDING: confirm |
| During production | Cutting, stitching and branding placement | PENDING: confirm |
| Before packing | Dimensions, appearance, stitching, closures, labels and quantities | PENDING: every item or sampling plan |
PENDING: who records the results, and a redacted example inspection record
If something is wrong
Defects and complaints
PENDING: the agreed policy: how a complaint is documented, who handles it, and what remedy can be offered
Certificates
Certifications and memberships
We list a certificate only with its issuing body, scope, legal entity and validity, and only for the products it actually covers. PENDING: add verified certificates, or leave this section out
